Northern Arizona University's Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society represents the national guild of wildlife professionals known as The Wildlife Society. Our mascot the Abert's Squirrel was drawn for us by the amazing artist Zackery Zdinak. (click here for artists homepage) Our mission is to expose students interested in wildlife to many unique educational opportunities in an effort to provide more fulfilling and enriched learning experiences while at NAU. Bi-monthly meetings provide a forum during which the membership can enjoy a guest speaker's presentation on a current issue, make plans for future activities, discuss ongoing projects or reflect on recent experiences. Additionally, meetings bring members face-to-face with many valuable professional contacts. Membership in NAU's Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society also offers the chance to work on research projects, volunteer in the community, enjoy recreational outings and interview notable wildlife professionals. Our membership is not limited to biology, zoology or wildlife management majors. In fact, our members come from various backgrounds and have interests beyond wildlife and the outdoors. The Wildlife Society provides a common bond that brings us all together and allows us to share our experiences with each other. Whether you are looking to form relationships with your peers, seeking volunteer opportunities, searching for fun or in the market for information about wildlife, you can find it all in The Wildlife Society. Please sign our Guestbook and let us know you're out there! ____________________ Note From Your Webmaster: I'd appreciate anything you have to say in regards to improving this website.
